Whats Fur Used For
In the fur industry dog and cat furs are used to make a variety of things. The fur industry does not deny the usage of this fur to make products and sell them. Products made from fur does not have to be labeled showing the species. To have a cat coat made it takes up to twenty four cats. To have a dog fur coat it can take up to fifteen dogs, and if puppies or kittens are killed it can take as many as forty animals for one coat. The fur from dogs and cats is used to make coats, fur trimmed garments, blankets, toys, novelty key rings, fur pom poms on sweaters and trim on jeans etc, children's dyed hairbows, hoods, hats, gloves, stuffed animals, and other items such hair accessories and many more.
The inhumane way of slaughtering these animals is so unconscionable that the fur industry has tried to disguise the fur by using labels that hide the facts that these are products made from dog and cat fur. Very rarely will the label tell the truth of what type of fur has been used, and whats more the horrific way these animals are treated before they are slaughtered.
